Job descriptionNurse Manager Registered Professional Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse 1-2 years clinical experience preferred, but not required Knowledge of the appropriate rules, regulations, policies and procedures; Skill in supervising the proper care and custody of residents and seeing that the orders of the physician are efficiently and effectively carried out; Assist in processing new admission paperwork; following up on labs, orders, charting.
Skill in encouraging a proper professional attitude among the members of the nursing staff; Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions and to accept constructive criticism; Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel JOB SUMMARY FOR NURSE MANAGERThe primary purpose of the Nurse Manager is to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, the Medical Director, and/or the Director of Nursing, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
